本节来讲关系副词引导的限制性定语从句。

一、用作先行词的名词在从句中充当时间状语，可以用关系副词（连词）when 或 ”介词+ which“ 引导。举例：

We were very happy in those days. （主句）+ We studied at school in those days. （从句）=

We were very happy in those days in which / when we studied at school. 我们上学的那些日子是多么快乐啊。 

二、用作先行词的名词在从句中充当地点状语，可以用关系副词（连词）where 或 “介词+ which" 引导。举例：

The company is in the west of the city. （主句）+ His father worked in the company. （从句）=

The company in which / where his father worked is in the west of the city. 他父亲曾经工作过的那家公司在城市的西边。

三、如果先行词 reason （原因）在从句中充当原因状语，可以用关系副词 why 引导。举例：

He refused to disclose the reason. （主句）+ He did it for the reason. （从句）

He refused to disclose the reason why he did it. 他拒绝透露他做那件事的原因。
